Your eBook and/or paperback book must be live on Amazon. If you have not done so already, please do that and review this article afterwards.
How To Un-publish Your Book From Amazon
Log in to your KDP account (kdp.amazon.com)
(Once you publish and are live on Amazon, you cannot “delete” them, you have to “unpublish” if you want to remove your live books for any reason.
For eBooks
Step 1
Click “Bookshelf”.
Step 2
Under “KINDLE EBOOK ACTIONS” click on the ellipses (“...”) button next to the book you want to remove
Step 3
Click “Unpublish”.
For Paperback Books
Step 1
Click “Bookshelf”.
Step 2
Under “PAPERBACK ACTIONS” or “HARDCOVER ACTIONS” click on the ellipses (“...”) button next to the book you want to remove.
Step 3
Click “Unpublish”.
(With paperback books, after you do this, customers can no longer purchase new copies through KDP. However, third parties may still sell used copies of this book on Amazon.)
How To Update or Revise Your Published Book
Log in to your KDP account (kdp.amazon.com)
Click on “Bookshelf”
Next to the book you want to revise, click on the ellipses (“...”) button
Click “Edit details”
Edit your details (make the changes you want to make)
Click “Save and Continue”
Repeat this step on the content page.
Click “Publish” at the bottom of the pricing page
