This is a step-by-step guide on how to find/add photos and where to place them.

At the end of this article, you will have learned how to find/add photos for the 7 Day Profit Challenge.

Step 1

Once you have typed your manuscript into your Google Doc and are looking to add photos/images, you can add free stock images via: Pexels (pexels.com), Pixabay (pixabay.com) and/or Unsplash (unsplash.com)

  • Go to any of the websites above on your browser.

  • Type in the image you are searching for in the search bar (flowers, for example)

  • A page full of images will appear. Simply click on the image(s) that you prefer and click “Free Download” for each photo you would like to use.

This will save the image (s) in your Downloads folder.

If you would like to use personal photos from your gallery, be sure to save them as JPG. This will allow for the best resolution and upload into KDP.

These photos should be saved to your Downloads folder as well.

Step 2

  • Place your cursor at the point in your manuscript where you want to add your photo.

  • Click “Insert” at the top of your page

  • Hover your mouse over “Image”

  • Click “Upload from computer”

  • Select the photo you want to insert from your Downloads folder and click “Open”

  • Your image is now displayed within your manuscript.

Repeat this process for each photo you would like to add.

Step 4

Once you have inserted your photos, you can import your manuscript into Reedsy and subsequently, KDP.

Note - As Rasmus states within the video lessons, resizing your photos is not an option within Reedsy. There is no work-around for this.

To save yourself time and frustration, if you need to resize your photos, it is best to do that in your Google Doc before importing into Reedsy.
