This is a step-by-step guide on how to upload your manuscript to KDP when you encounter errors.
Step 1
If you are receiving the following errors:
You will Probably need to unzip the files Reedsy downloaded and sent to you.
Step 2
To do this, double click on the zipped folder file in your Downloads folder.
You should now see an “Extract all” tab in that window. Click on “Extract all”
Click on “Extract”
Your files are now unzipped and in a new open folder in your downloads
Step 3
You can now log in to your KDP account and upload your eBook and paperback manuscripts.
Fill in the necessary information in the fields prior to uploading your manuscript.
When you get to the Paperback Content tab, you can upload again.
Click on “Upload eBook manuscript” or “Upload paperback manuscript”
Select the “ePub” or “PDF Print Ready” file from your unzipped Downloads folder. Click “Open” .
When your manuscript has been successfully uploaded you will receive this prompt:
