Overview

This article explains how to enable KDspy, DS Quick View, and Publishing.ai extensions in Chrome's Incognito mode. Browser extensions require additional configuration to work in private browsing sessions.

When to Use This Guide

Use this guide when you need to:

  • Access your extensions while browsing in Incognito mode

  • Enable specific extensions for private browsing sessions

  • Troubleshoot extension functionality in Incognito windows

Prerequisites

  • Google Chrome browser installed on your device

  • Extensions already installed in your regular Chrome browser

  • Administrator access to modify extension settings

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open Incognito Window

  1. Open Google Chrome browser

  2. Click the three dots menu (โ‹ฎ) in the top right corner of your browser

  3. Select "New incognito window" from the dropdown menu

  4. The Incognito window will open in a new tab

Step 2: Access Extension Management

  1. In the Incognito window, look for the extensions icon (puzzle piece) in the top right corner

  2. Click on the extensions icon

  3. Select "Manage extensions" from the dropdown menu

  4. This will open the Chrome Extensions page

Step 3: Enable Extensions for Incognito Mode

  1. Locate the extensions you want to use in Incognito mode:

    1. KDspy

    2. DS Quick View

    3. Publishing.ai

  2. For each extension, find the "Allow in incognito" toggle switch

  3. Enable the toggle for each extension you want to use

  4. The extensions will now be active in Incognito mode

Verification

To confirm the extensions are working:

  • Look for the extension icons in the Incognito window toolbar

  • The enabled extensions should be visible and functional

  • Test the extensions to ensure they work as expected

Important Notes

  • Extension permissions may need to be granted separately for Incognito mode

  • Some extensions may have limited functionality in private browsing

  • Settings and data from regular browsing mode may not carry over to Incognito

Troubleshooting

If extensions don't appear after enabling:

  • Refresh the Incognito window

  • Restart Chrome completely

  • Check extension permissions in the Extensions page

  • Verify the extension is still installed and up to date
