Overview
This guide shows you how to switch your browser to incognito mode (also called private mode).
Incognito mode is a browser setting that doesn't keep a record of the web pages you visit. This means your browsing history does not affect your future browsing results.
Steps to Enable Incognito Mode in Chrome
Open the Chrome menu - Find the three dots (⋮) in the top right corner of your browser window
Select New Incognito Window from the dropdown menu
Verify incognito mode - A new window will appear, showing you are now in incognito mode
Steps to Enable Private Mode in Edge
Open the browser menu - Select the three dots (⋮) in the top right corner of your Edge browser window
Select New InPrivate Window from the dropdown menu
Verify private mode - A new window will appear, showing you are now in private mode
