This guide provides step-by-step instructions for upgrading and downgrading your Publishing.ai subscription. You can easily change between Lite, Pro, and Platinum plans through your account dashboard.

Subscription Tiers

  • Lite: Basic plan

  • Pro: Mid-tier plan with subscription credits

  • Platinum: Premium plan with maximum features

  • Upgrades are instant and take effect immediately

  • Downgrades may result in loss of unused subscription credits

Upgrading Your Subscription

Steps to Upgrade Your Plan

Follow these steps to upgrade from your current plan to Pro or Platinum:

  1. Access Subscription Management

    1. Log in to your Publishing.ai account

    2. Click the profile icon

    3. Select Manage Subscription

  2. Review Available Plans

    1. View all subscription options on the next page

    2. Review the feature breakdown for each plan type

    3. Check your current plan status

  3. Select Your New Plan

    1. Click on the plan you wish to upgrade to (Pro or Platinum)

    2. Click Proceed to Checkout

  4. Complete the Upgrade

    1. Fill out the checkout form

    2. Click Subscribe

    3. A charge will be applied to your payment method on file

What Happens After Upgrading

  • You will receive a confirmation email for your subscription

  • The upgrade is instant once confirmed

  • You can immediately log in to your dashboard and access new subscription resources

Downgrading Your Subscription

Important Notes About Credits

⚠️ Credit Policy Warning:

  • Any unused subscription credits from your Pro or Platinum account will not roll over when you downgrade

  • Purchased manuscript credits may have different retention rules (see specific sections below)

Steps to Downgrade Your Plan

Accessing the Downgrade Options

  1. Navigate to Subscription Management

    1. Log in to your Publishing.ai account

    2. Click the profile icon

    3. Select Manage Subscription

  2. Initiate Cancellation Process

    1. View your current subscription plan (Platinum, Pro, or Lite)

    2. Click "Cancel subscription" to begin the downgrade process

Downgrading from Pro to Lite

Credit Retention:

  • Unused purchased manuscript credits will remain available

  • Unused subscription manuscript credits included with your Pro plan will not carry over after the subscription term ends

Process:

  • Select the downgrade to Lite option

  • Confirm your selection when prompted

Downgrading from Platinum to Pro or Lite

Downgrade Options:

  • To Pro: Select "Downgrade to Pro instead" option

  • To Lite: Click "Cancel to downgrade to Lite"

Process:

  1. Choose your preferred downgrade option (Pro or Lite)

  2. A confirmation message will appear to confirm your downgrade or cancellation

  3. Review and confirm your selection

Canceling a Pending Downgrade

If you change your mind about canceling your subscription:

  1. Return to Subscription Management

    1. Navigate back to your Manage Subscription option

    2. Look for pending downgrade status

  2. Cancel the Pending Downgrade

    1. Click "Cancel the pending downgrade"

    2. Click "Confirm renew"

    3. Your subscription will be renewed and continue at the current level
